You won't any bit of difficulty on how to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth. So I have the best guide or tutorial for you on this blog post.

How to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth

There are many ways to transfer contacts from android to android and through Bluetooth seemed the best option to do so.

You can use your phone default Bluetooth, or download any of the Bluetooth apps from the play store though I've already done that on this post.

First am using the default Bluetooth app on an android phone.

1. Using the default Bluetooth

This is the first method I use to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth.

To get started, go to your contacts on your Android phone and open the application.

Select the contact (s) you want to share with the other android phone and mark all of them. Afterward, click on the share button and select Bluetooth.

Turn on the Bluetooth of the other phone you want to share contacts to, and I recommend pairing the two phones for easy sharing.

Having done so, click on share and select the other phone from your Bluetooth sharing.

The contacts will be sent to other Android phones immediately and swiftly. It still doesn't end here as you have to save the contacts to your Android phone.

You have to save the sent or transferred contacts to your android phone contacts.

However, if you're on the latest Android phone or probably using a Samsung phone, the sent contacts will automatically be imported into your phone contacts.

You don't have to save the contacts, they are saved automatically the moment the files are sent complete.

Honestly using your phone Bluetooth default is the best method to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth.

2. Using Bluetooth App

In case you don't fancy using the default phone Bluetooth to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth, I rec their very application to you.

I've provided the download link for you to download the Bluetooth app.

Download and install the Bluetooth app on your android smartphone, and open the application.

On the application, you'll be given four options. To transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth, you've to select or tapBluetooth contact transfer.

It moves all the marked contacts to another window and to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth app, click onTransfer VCF.

This automatically turns on your Bluetooth and takes you to your default Bluetooth to send the contact to the recipient's phone.

Please I want you to know that this app can be quite annoying with lots of ads. As it uses Android default Bluetooth, you may prefer to use it to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth then this application.

These are the best way on how to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth.

However, Bluetooth isn't the only best option to share contacts from one android phone to another, you can do that using xender, WhatsApp other file sharing methods, etc.

How to transfer contacts from android to to android

They include the followings:

  • Whatsapp application
  • Email account
  • Message app
  • Xender app
  • WiFi direct

There lots of apps to transfer contacts from android to android  but I will only talk about these five methods.

Let's start from the first which is the WhatsApp application.

1. Transfer contacts from android to android using WhatsApp

This method is very easy and requires both android phones to have WhatsApp app installed.

Go to your phone contact app and mark the contacts you want to transfer contacts from android to android.

Click on the share icon and select WhatsApp, locate the contact you want to share on your WhatsApp contact, and click on the send button.

On the receiving android phone, open the WhatsApp app and also the sent message or chat.

Tap on the chat by clicking on view or view all, and the sent contacts will be displayed on your screen.

On the displayed contacts, click on add to add the contacts to your phone contact.

And that's, you've successfully added the contacts to your android phone.

Bet you see that it isn't difficult to transfer contacts from android to android using the WhatsApp app for android.

2. Message App

Another method on the list is the messaging app and involves charges from your network.

Just like the WhatsApp app, mark the contacts you want to transfer from android to android and select the messaging app.

The contacts will be saved as multimedia and enter the receiving phone number, finally click on the send button.

That's it. The receiving android phone should receive the contacts as multimedia and which can be saved as a contact.

So this is the method to transfer contacts from android to android using the default message app, moving over to the next.

3. Using Email Account

This method is quite popular to transfer contacts from one android phone to another, and it's so easy.

You can use any type of email account be it yahoo mail or Gmail etc.

I'm doing this method using the Gmail account.

Open the contact app on your android phone and mark all the contacts you want to transfer or share. Next is to click on transfer and select Gmail on the options displayed for you.

Immediately you'll be taken to your Gmail account and the contacts will be saved ascontacts.vcf .

Enter the recipient email address and click on the Send button to transfer contacts from android to android.

On the receiving Android phone, open the mail and also the contacts.vcf, and finally saved them to your phone.

Also, this is a lot easy and even a novice won't find any difficulty in this at all.

4. How to transfer contacts from android to android using xender

You can use xender, shareit, etc to transfer contacts on two android phones. I prefer using xender cause it doesn't contain lots of annoying ads popping out on the screen.

Using xender to transfer contacts from android to android, launch the application. If you don't have it installed on both phones, kindly download it from the Google play store.

Just like the others, open your contact app and mark the ones you want to transfer. Click on share and select xender, and also open xender on the receiving phone and click receive.

After you have transferred the contacts, go to your files 📂 and locate the xender folder. Click onothers and you'll see the contacts you transferred.

Open it and save the contacts to your android phone.

That's it on using xender to transfer contacts from android to android.

5. Transfer contacts using Wi-Fi direct

This is the last method I have for you and this time it doesn't require any third-party application or to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth.

This only requires the Wi-Fi connection and you're good to go.

To get started, turn on wifi and Wi-Fi direct on both devices, and open the contact app on your android phone.

As it goes, select all the contacts you want to transfer by marking all of them and click on the share button.

This time you have to select Wi-Fi direct and accept the connection on both devices. Afterward the contacts.vcf will be transferred to the receiving Android phone.

Just like using the default Bluetooth to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth, this automatically saves the contacts straight to your phone contacts.

You don't have to do that manually, it automatically saves the contacts to your android phone.

Which method do I recommend

All the methods I've said on these posts are so easy that a novice won't find any difficulty to implement them. However, I've my favorite method.

For me, I recommend to transfer contacts from one phone to another using Bluetooth and probably the default app. It saves the contacts automatically on your phone without having you to do it manually.

Also, I love using the Wi-Fi direct to transfer contacts from android to android as it also automatically saves the contacts to your android phone.
